Chocolate Upside Down Cake

Cake batter:
1 c. flour
3/4 c. sugar
1-1/2 t. baking powder
1/4 t. salt
1-1/2 T. cocoa
1/2 c. milk
1 t. vanilla
2 T. melted butter
1/2 c nuts
 
Mix flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and cocoa. Add milk, vanilla, and butter. Add nuts. Pour in greased 8” pan (double recipe for 9”x13” pan)
 
Topping:
2 T. cocoa
1/2 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
Mix sugar and cocoa and spread over top of cake batter. Pour water over all.
 
Bake 350 degrees for 45 minutes.
