She worked as a nurse in the Confederate Woman's Home after her husband died and later as a private duty nurse. She also was the owner of several nursing homes in Austin. 138. Richard Stockton was born Oct. 1, 1730 in Princeton, New Jersey. He married Annis Boudinot in 1757. He was an Associate Justice of the New Jersey Supreme Court and a signer of the U.S.Declaration of Independence. He was captured by the British in 1776 and thrown into common prison, causing him physical harm and ultimately his death on Feb. 28, 1781 in Princeton, New Jersey.
